Hello There -
I tried something new! I made a paper bag book. I used brown lunch bags, laid them on top of each other in opposite directions and sewed them together down the middle on my sewing machine. I tied some tulle around the book to hide the stitching.
I used the Lucille line from Basic Grey, which I instantly fell in love with! I have a soft spot for vintage paper and sewing themed items.
This line had a couple sheets of cute cut aparts that made it perfect for all the little pockets that the paper bag ends made. I adhered them down on three sides, which left them open to slide in the little notes.
In the large pockets, made from the openings of the bags, I put in pictures of the kids and a Subway gift card. This book is going to my mom and I know she will love looking at the pictures and reading all the little notes in the pockets.
On the cover I used some of the chipboard stickers, twine, and made a raised charm embellishment.
When sending this I put it in a padded envelope to make sure it arrives safe and sound to my mom!
Try something new - it is so much fun!
