Steampunk Spells Canvas

I love working on canvases!  Fussy cutting out the images and layering them on.  I love the effect of the finished product!  Then there is always another fun part - finishing off the edges of the canvas.

For this one I used the main page from Graphic 45's new line, Steampunk Spells.  I love the bright colors and all the different elements used in the paper.  After I layered I colored and highlighted some of the paper with Spica pens - I love the shimmer it gives!

On the edges I painted gold leafing and added a gorgeous ribbon.  I love how you are able to see the details of the ribbon against the gold paint.

I hope you enjoy this project as much as I do!

Quick Quotes Canvas

Hi There!  I wanted to share with you a kit that I purchased some time ago that I made and changed up a bit.

This is a kit from Quick Quotes - it came with some other embellishments and saying, but I decided that with such a great tree cut out I would add, fittingly, my first favorite poem from when I was in second grade.  The poem is, Trees, by Joyce Kilmer, printed on velum.  I used the ribbon for three ties around the tree - one for each of my kids.  I also added some pearls.

I am happy to have this completed and working on it was so fun!

Thanks for letting me share -

Fondly,
Sharon

Lawn Fawn Cards

These are some cards made with stamps from Lawn Fawn.  I love their images - they are so cute!

Some More Projects

So I have been trying to take some time each day to create.  The kids are busy getting ready to go back to school and finding time has really come easy.  When I am not in the van driving them I can usually get some chore underway and create while it is going. (ie., laundry, dishwasher, etc.)

Here are some cards I made with stamps from The Sweet Stamp Shop:

New Journal for New Year

Hello!  I have been busy finishing up projects and creating new ones.  This string of creativeness was very welcome and I decided to just go with it!  I would like to share something I made for my 'new year'.  I like to think of the new year as the year after your new birthday.  This year I hit a monumental one and decided to make a new journal/vision book to mark the occasion.

I am hoping to make this a great, productive year.  So much is happing during this birthday year - lots of life changing things - and I need to keep working on what my life is going to be like and what it is that I am here for.  I love to create and am hoping my life plans include something coming of that...what, I don't know.  I'll just have to keep on going and see where the road takes me!

Happy Crafting and Journaling -
